BowlsLink Release v1.39 August 2026

The latest updates for BowlsLink are now available.

This release contains several important changes to the BowlsLink system, most notably some changes to the competition area which include the option to name the Substitute player in a competition, the narration of a position in an auto mapped finals and the introduction of system generated QR codes and links for direct entry via the user BowlsLink App.

The rest of the BowlsLink Release v1.39 includes required fixes and minor updates.

Release notes – BowlsLink – 1.39

Competitions

  • Remove check for duplicate player positions in entry, allows entrants & admins to change player positions.
  • Add flag/notice when entry positions are duplicated in entry dashboard.
  • Enable adding and reporting of substitute players in matches including player ladder.
  • Add auto narrations for auto-mapping positions in finals-series matches.
  • Add support for competition organisers to generate QR code for entry via BowlsLink users app.

Membership

  • Add Linked Parent and Linked Child field to configurable key details and club membership reports.
  • Allow Linked Child accounts email and mobile to become non-mandatory, so account is editable for Club Admins or higher access.
  • Display Child accounts hover email and mobile as Parent account.
  • Allow renewals to be added for membership types when greater than expiry period.

Sign-Ups

  • Wording change to sign-ups removing the term Membership which does not apply to Participants.

BowlsLink System Improvements & Fixes

  • Build mandatory data requirements into competition entry. Note: This item will be turned on August 24th
  • Withdrawn Competition entries and Event bookings have pending invoices automatically Voided
  • Generate entry names only when entries move from TEMP, resolves issues for incorrect team name generation.
  • General improvements to entry payment and confirmation workflow, resolves issues for secured/unsecured entries.
  • Child account inherits Parent account contact information on entry, allows anyone to enter a Child account in a competition.
  • Future-dated club appointments not showing in Current Positions. Fixed.
  • Find-a-club returning multiple instances of the same club. Fixed.
  • Club admins unable to view profile completeness pod on member dashboard. Fixed.
  • Results Portal link in side navigation is directing users to the Beta platform. Fixed.
  • Metadata display on entry dashboard shows numbers instead of defined options. Fixed.
  • Revoking membership fails due to database lock timeout. Fixed.
  • QR code for entry via Members App fails to direct users correctly when app in sleep/background mode. Fixed.
  • Trying to unlink a deleted Child account displays an error. Fixed.
  • Outstanding invoices appear as “APPROVED” in Members app, instead of “OUTSTANDING”. Fixed.
  • Members not able to pay entry-based invoices via accounts. Fixed.
  • Mobile phone number validation fails for new 0494 prefix. Fixed.
  • Confirmation notification not being sent out when entering a competition via the members app. Fixed.
  • Website support link in members app not working. Fixed.
