BowlsLink Release v1.38 March 2026

The latest updates for BowlsLink are now available.

This release contains several important changes to the BowlsLink system, most notably the introduction of changes to membership data with the removal of secondary email and mobiles fields, the addition of more mandatory fields and some changes to the way data is collected within BowlsLink.

The rest of the BowlsLink Release v1.38 includes required fixes and updates across many different parts of BowlsLink.

Membership & Reports

  • Add occupation field to member profile.
  • Add occupation field to club member and key details reports.
  • Remove organisation field from member profile.
  • Remove organisation field from reports.
  • Configure email and mobile in Key Details to become mandatory.
  • Remove contact email and phone fields from member Personal Information profile.
  • Remove contact email and phone fields from reports.
  • Configure birthdate year to become mandatory.
  • Improve member address data by introducing address lookup.
  • Auto-populate member-since attribute when creating club-member profile.
  • Club member numbers (financial & participation) report incorrectly excluding archived membership types. Fixed.
  • Report for Club Membership Numbers returning additional clubs outside of Club Group context when exclude zero counts set to no. Fixed.

Competitions

  • Add the ability to edit a competition from the competition’s dashboard.
  • Change restrict-by-club-group option from drop-down to type-ahead.

  • Importing team member incorrectly fails validation. Fixed.
  • Memory exhausted error when competition date range erroneously large. Fixed.
  • Fees pod on entry dashboard not rendering correctly. Fixed.
  • Pagination not being retained after editing competitor mappings. Fixed.
  • Error when trying to save a competition. Fixed.

Finances, Invoices & Payments

  • Add support for admins to refresh the total amount paid for an invoice.
  • Make email invoicing for members true by default.
  • Restrict credit-card payments to local cards only.
  • Unable to recover easily from aborted payment workflow. Fixed.
  • Filtering payments export by Pin Payments gateway returns zero payments. Fixed.

System General

  • Change DOB selector in signup workflow to D/M/Y drop-downs.
  • Improve invite and transfer button wording.
  • Update reset password success message.
  • Update wording in member welcome notification.
  • View signup page link not working. Fixed.
  • Less-than/greater-than characters in customer request being escaped. Fixed.
  • Editing metadata record not setting form values correctly. Fixed.

Email Campaigns

  • Bowls coordinator email campaign segment not syncing. Fixed.

Results Portal

  • Broadcast schedules not appearing in chronological order. Fixed.
