Entering a Competition
This guide offers a straightforward, step-by-step approach to entering competitions on BowlsLink, ensuring users navigate the process smoothly. By following these instructions, bowlers can efficiently register for events, manage teammate entries, and fulfill all necessary requirements without confusion.
If you are a member who has not yet accessed your BowlsLink account and you have issues logging in, you may need to reset your password.

Before entering a Competition
When entering a Competition via BowlsLink, it is important for Members to ensure that their profile details are kept up to date as there can be restrictions in place by the organising body.
Some common restrictions that are applied to competitions and a required for entry include –
- Financial Membership to a Club (or the Club hosting the competition)
- Competition Participation Type (linked to your Membership – this is identified by a Green icon next to your Membership Information)
- Email Address
- Mobile Number
- Gender
Below is an example of where these details are found on your profile. If you need to make changes, you can do so via the Pencil Icon at the bottom of your Key Details.

Entering a Competition
Once you have logged into your account and personal details are up to date, you can begin your registration. On the left-hand navigation menu, select Competitions > My Competitions.
Here, you will be able to view competitions that are In-Play, Entered, Available & Completed.
Select Available.
Here, you will be able to view all the Competitions that are currently available for entries. There are Filters available to narrow the search for your competition. Filters include:
- Types (Knockout or Round-Robin)
- Format (Singles, Pairs, Triples or Fours)
- Organising Body (Club, Region, State or National)
- Start Date Between
- End Date Between
When you have applied the necessary filters, click Apply
Alternatively, if you do not search using the filters, you can do so by manually typing in the competition name in the Search Field any key terms or words.
When you have found your event, click the Tool Icon on the right-hand side. Clicking the icon will prompt you to Enter Competition.
The following page will pre-fill some key information, such as Name, Email and Mobile, however, additional fields may be also be mandatory by the event organiser but not prefilled, i.e. State and/or Postcode
After all mandatory details have been added, click “Save“
If your entry includes a teammate, you will need to “Link member“
Members can be searched by the National ID Number (NIN) or a combination of their surname and Club via the Member Lookup.
Once the member has been found, click “Link“
Their details may also need to be confirmed and once completed, click “Save“
After all relevant players are linked, click “Next“
Note: The event may have some Additional Details to be fulfilled as part of entry
After all Additional Details are provided as required, click ‘Next‘
Entry type will need to be confirmed next. When this is set, click “Next“
Final confirmation details will be provided prior to payment, including contact information, players, conditions of play, etc…
Accept the final terms and conditions of the event
Finally, make payment. Provide CC number, MM/YY Expiry and valid CC, then click ‘Pay‘
After payment, you will receive an email confirmation and receipt of your entry. All the best for your competition!
