Marker Scoring – Live Scoring App
The BowlsLink Live Scoring App offers two methods of scoring, Marker or Competitor and this article will explain how a Marker can operate the Live Scoring via the mobile app.
It is important to note the Marker has the App uploaded to their device or the device being used to facilitate the scoring and have a compatible version. The Bowls Australia Live Scoring mobile application currently is compatible with iOS 14 devices and Android devices version 5.2 or later.

Enabling Markers for Competitions
First, the competitions need to be setup and enable ‘Marker Scoring’ in the settings.
To enable Marker Scoring, on page eight (8) of creating a competition (Result Settings), clicktickbox Enable App Scoring and toggle on ‘Allow Markers to Finalise Match’ – Yes.
Next, allocate your Markers for the competition.
Markers can be allocated by searching using their Name or National ID Number (NIN). Once the Marker is found, click Add Marker.
Add as many Markers as required.
Once added, they will appear in the Competition Markers grouping.
Marker Scoring via Live Scoring App
Note: Ensure the Marker has the Live Scoring App downloaded –
For iPhone users go to the Apple App Store
For Android users go to Google Play
Once downloaded, login to the Live Scoring App using combination of Email, NIN or mobile phone and Password
After logging in, click Find A Match. This will display all available competitions and matches that can be scored using the Live Scoring App.
To filter down the displaying competitions, click the Settings icon on the top right hand corner of the screen.
The filters available include:
- Organising Body
- Event
- Only competing competitions
- Only marking competitions
Once the desired filters are added, click Filter.
When the competitions is found, select and the following screen will show the fixtures of the competition.
Select the match you will be scoring. If the match being scored does not show initially, you may need to change the section. To change the Section, click the dropdown above the filters and select the desired Section.
To start scoring the match, click Score Match.
As the match is played and scored, enter the results by selecting the plus ‘+’ or minus ‘-‘ buttons and after the scores are final, click Submit.
Repeat the steps for each end and after all ends are completed, click Match Actions and select ‘Mark as Completed’
NOTE: Once the match is completed and finalised it cannot be altered unless by a Competition Administrator.
Scored Matches will appear on your Home screen and flagged as a ‘Favourite’ for quick access.
Select the menu option on the top lefthand corner of the Live Scoring app to navigate to your Home, My Scored Matches, Find a Match or Settings options as needed.
