Setting Up Fallback method for BowlsLink Login
BowlsLink continues to strengthen its security and verification processes by enhancing the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with Fallbacks in cases where the existing 2FA isn’t available.
A Fallback can be mobile SMS or Microsoft Authenticator App, depending on which may be the existing 2FA setup for login.
Android – Microsoft Authenticator App
iOS – Microsoft Authenticator App
Please note – the Fallback functionality will become available FROM Monday August 24th.

How to create Fallbacks and Login
Adding Fallbacks and Logging In
Setting up Fallbacks
Login to your BowlsLink account and click on Edit Profile and view the Security tab of your profile.
Here, you will be able to edit or set 2FA – To protect your sign-in from attackers exploiting weak or stolen credentials, supplement your standard password with a randomly generated and constantly refreshing one-time-passcode that can be used to verify your identity.
When first choosing your 2FA (Email, Authenticator App or SMS), this will be verified by sending a test code to confirm the existing details are correct and working – if you are changing an existing 2FA, toggle the options as needed and SAVE when finished.
Click Add a Fallback method.

Note: If you already have a mobile number, SMS will automatically be verified as a fallback option.
Select a fallback method to add – in this example the Authenticator App will be added.

Follow the prompts to download the Authenticator App, scan the QR code using your mobile and enter the verification code – click Submit and Save.
Fallback methods can be removed by clicking Remove.

Logging in using a Fallback
Head to BowlsLink login and enter your login details – If the original 2FA code isn’t being received, click the SMS or Authenticator App options to receive a code from these methods.
Enter the Authenticator App or SMS code and click Submit.
